Zeke

You can see Zeke is also a seal-point Birman like my Shey. I chose Zeke because his sister was Pinkie mentioned in the newsletter. Going to their house is like not leaving mine!! I can't tell you how many times the names Rebecca & Shey have been spoken there! And in true Birman fashion there is always something Zeke finds to get into! Then he looks at you with those blue eyes------- sigh. They know they got me paw-whipped!

In Loving Memory

Hi Fluffy
Buddies!!

How is everyone's New Year? Everyone all relaxed after the holidays? I'm finally starting to get some things done since most of December was used getting the gifts out, wrapping, baking, etc etc etc. Its been so long since I wrote-I don't know where to begin!
I'm not sure if I wrote a November -I'm thinking I didn't because that first week Max & I were in Ithaca. We had a really wonderful time! I was so glad I did get my one wish-- I hoped that at least one day would be rotten weather so I could stay in & look out the window & know I don't have to go out in it! And that's exactly what we did on one day! We found some different trails to walk that we haven't gone on before. The Taughannock Falls & the trail to get to them was just stunning. We went in search of one trail & I got hopelessly lost! I thought I was still heading towards it when suddenly I came upon a major road which turned out to be the one I came from! I had gone completely in a circle!! Max made a new friend at the B&B. Everytime we went out he dragged me to the barn in the back so he could see & smootch his new buddy: Max & his rabbit!
One day a couple years ago a Canadian Goose came to visit & has never left! I love the rooster-he has a terrible time telling time. He cockadoodles somewhere around 2 or 3 AM & is sound a sleep when the sun comes up. As we were leaving I glanced over a the pasture & there was the rooster riding the back of the horse! I was so glad I decided to put the camera on the seat next to me: Well, we have a couple months of fluffy buddies we have lost. It's been a tough couple months because many of these I have been watching for many years & they were very special. Geez-I believe I met Pinkie in my first year of business. She was the exact twin to my Rebecca-both calicos & marked identical except Pinkie was a bit darker. She has always had her own little nook in my heart & I miss her terribly. I was absolutley floored when Penny called to say our Shaq passed away suddenly. Max will be devastated since Shaq was his bestest friend. Oh- bestest guy-friend, Fenny & Vega are still his girls! We would go to get Shaq out for his mornning walks at around 6 AM & I always felt bad for the neighbors because Max would be uncontrollable bouncing & barking when I pulled in the driveway. I would get to the door & Shaq would be standing there all ready to go just as excited but too big to jump all but a couple inches off the floor! In the summer we saw Shaq almost every weekend so we will be feeling the loss deeply. He was the only time Max looked small! My little Buttercup with her running eyes! She would curl up on my lap & "water" all over me! GingerThomas & Dusty were a shock- both reasonably young but Ginger was a gerbil so she may have had a long life. Dusty was gorgeous & had a gorgeous song. I loved listening to her-it was so relaxing. Another young-only about 3 so I was pretty shocked that we lost Foxie. Salty will be missed by her family & me. Being she lived with a labrador you can imagine I needed her calmness after tangling with the dog! I never got a picture of Hayden. He was a wild cat that was lucky enough to be given a home by Sandy & Niles but he was always in hiding when I arrived. My dear TJ, another one I've been watching a long time. TJ was one who kept my head from getting too big. Oh he thought I was wonderful-until I placed his food down-then I was his useless slave again!
Then just a few weeks later I got a call from Melinda-who is TJ's "sister-in law" (hehe)- that Missy passed suddenly. Another shocker & by now I figured I had might-as-well just stay on the floor. Sure enough I got the call that my Sophie left. One of my diabetic special needs kitty, also a long time fluffy buddy. Lastly we just lost Mollie. Mollie was almost 18 years old! She had a long wonderful life but she was tired. I'm sure she is running free in Rainbow Bridge now.
I think the new adds will have to wait a couple weeks because I still haven't gotten the pictures ready. There are a lot of them! I will probably do the photo album thru Kodak Gallery again if that worked OK with all of you? I didn't hear of anyone not being able to access the pictures that way so if you couldn't let me know.      Speaking of editing pictures- I better get going & start working on that! I didn't want you all to think I fell off the face of the earth so thought I would get out this quick newsletter & then follow up with the February one in just a couple weeks. There will also be an announcement that I have been working on-it still needs just a bit of tweaking & it will be ready to go. So as soon as that is done & the pictures are ready I will return! -- until then-

I luv ya bunches
