I'm
going to start right off with 2 exciting announcements! The first is a
Cutest Pet Photo Contest! Its being conducted by the
CL!X Portrait Studios in conjunction with Lollypop Farm.
I really like this contest because no matter what, you end up with a free
5x7 picture of your pet! You take your pet into CL!X
now thru 2/17. & they will photograph your pet at NO COST to you and
you get a free 5x7! They are asking for a $5.00 donation to Lollypop
Farm, but it's not mandatory. Then, the picture goes up on a
website beginning Feb. 22nd thru March 1st and people go to the site and
vote for the cutest pet. There are 4 categories: Dogs, Cats, Small animals
and Exotic pets. The top 16 winners (4 in each category) are then given
to their national advertising agency and they pick the winner on or before
March 15th. The winner receives free 4x6 prints from their digital camera
(up to 50 a month) for a year and is on their national ad campaign! I
know everyone of my fluffy buddies are the cutest and we could have a
winner! So give CL!X a call to make an appointment and
let’s see if we can get a winner! There are 4 locations: Greece
227-7240; Henrietta 292-1660; Irondequoit 338-1260 and Victor 425-1690.
If you don't enter your pet, be sure to go to www.clix-rochester.com
on Feb 22nd and vote for Macy or Shey! I have cards with all the phone
numbers and information on them. If you would like any to hand out to
your friends or co-workers, give me a call.
The
next is that I now accept charge cards! Only MasterCard & Visa at
this time. Now you can to tell your parents to make vacation plans since
they can charge my services! What a nice winter we've had until this week.
I sure enjoyed it but I suppose a lot of you haven't gone away since there's
been no miserable weather to get away from. It's been quiet and I miss
seeing my fluffy faces out there.
Oops-
I guess 3 announcements --- On December 3rd, Macy joined my family! She
is 2 years old, long-haired German Shepherd Dog, and she came from a rescue
group in Ohio. She is just adorable and is fitting in very nicely. I thought
Shey was going to be overjoyed when Macy walked in, but he actually was
very upset! He was extremely attached to Max and has been depressed since
Max died and he wanted him to be home, not some other strange dog! So
he ignored her and refused to come into the same room she was in for almost
a week. But, then he finally gave in and now they are about inseparable.
I laugh because they get going "fighting" and my husband will
yell at Macy to leave Shey alone, but it's Shey that's beating up Macy!
I've had to step in a few times and stop Shey from hurting Macy!! hahahaha
- They are very cute together.
Sadly, I've
seen some "for sale" signs going up in front of some of your
houses and you guys are leaving the area. I don't like seeing you leave
and it saddens me to loose my fluffy buddies, but you have to go with
your family. You know I love you bunches and like nothing better than
to spoil you, but I would appreciate that if you are moving away or for
some other reason will not be using my service again that you tell me.
Not only is the issue of costs to mail out the cards and gifts, but also
the choices I need to make of adding new clients.
Speaking
of new buddies - I have added some in the past couple months. I do not
have pictures yet to post - I was trying to get them ready, but when the
CL!X contest came along I wanted to get that information out asap to you.
So pictures will be coming along soon!
Always
most sad are the ones that have passed along to Rainbow
Bridge. Some of them had passed a few months ago and I just found
out over the holidays. I feel bad I didn't know and they weren't mentioned
prior. I learned that Cagney
had passed over the summer, Peaches
left not long after my Max.
I knew she wasn't well last I saw her. She was such a sweet girl; I will
miss her terribly along with her mom Carole. I was devastated when Connie
called to tell me Lolli
had passed. I saw him quite often and he was very special to me. He was
one that was scared and hid from people, so it was always extra touching
when he ran to greet me at the door. After loosing 2 of their family members
last year, it was very sad that Dawn
passed also. Dawn was the one I thought would've made good puppies with
Max, had they not been fixed. She looked a lot like Max, but was bigger
- yes-Dawn was bigger! She was a shiloh shepherd and was as sweet as can
be and spent my whole visit velcroed to my side! Dear Sam,
what a cutie! It must be the name, because like my Sammy,
Sam had to run to all the dishes to get as much canned food as he could
leaving his brothers to eat the dry! Melody told me my dear Spencer
had died and I was broken hearted. He couldn't wait till I turned the
faucet on so he could drink from the sink! Then at Christmas I found out
that both Snuggles
& Sweetie
had passed in the prior year, but that Spunky had joined the family. Oh
I will miss Marty,
one of my special needs kitties. He was a great boy and another one that
completely stole my heart. Dear goofy Brandy
- I only watched her once but she was such a joy & she kept me laughing.
When I see her sisters soon I will miss not having Brandy's antics too.
Hope
I get to see you soon!!! Until then -
I LUV U BUNCHES!!!
